So the ios 5 untether was available just a couple of weeks after the official 5.1.1 release. Anyone think that someone in the community is sitting on a working jailbreak for a4/5 devices and is waiting for a stable, fully tweaked release from apple?

How much cat & mouse is played between the jb'ers and apple?

Well, we know they've found exploits, but we also know there are major pieces to the "puzzle" missing.

My thoughts would be, they've got a foundation for a workable JB, but are probably holding tight for the next major release (6.1 probably) that will fix some of the more obvious 6.x bugs... and THEN try and piece together a mainstream ready jailbreak release.

No sense in JB'ing 6.01 when 6.1 is just around the corner.

They definitely have some of the pieces in place, but I agree that since the betas of 6.1 are closing in we will see it released shortly.

So yes, I think they'll wait for 6.1 or 6.1.1, if they are closer then we know.
