I've Jailbroken and unlocked two 2G and one 3G phone using Pwnage & redsn0w on a Mac. Recently, I tried to take one of the 2Gs and wipe it for my son. I then re-jailbroke and unlocked for t-mobile. Worked okay, but was running hot and very short battery life.

I had him delete all apps that he had downloaded and that seemed to do the trick. Then a couple of days later it froze, he rebooted (holding down home and power key) and it would just cycle non-stop from apple logo (or pineapple logo), to black, flash off, then start over again.

No problem. I just figured I'd start over. So, I have now gone through redsn0w on a Mac and a Vista PC and Pwnage Tool on a Mac. I even tried going back to 2.x on the Mac using Pwnage Tool. Each time it enters DFU mode and is successfully jailbroken and unlocked. It will even let me restore and synch thru iTunes. But the iPhone itself seems to be stuck in the continuous loop of restarting and never showing me anything other than the apple/pineapple logo and a black screen no matter what I try to do.

It did however show the jailbreaking screens that show the "downloading jailbreak data," BootNeuter, Auto-Mode, etc on the iPhone before it reboots after jailbreaking, but when it reboots, it cycles.

Any ideas out there?
