iPod touch Jailbreak touch 1g 3.1.3 fail

So i have my old trusty touch 1g 3.1.3

I want to try out iDroid and it needs either Redsn0w, PwnageTool, or blackrain to JB it so iDroid works.

Now the problem is non of the jailbreak tools can JB my 3.1.3 original firmware!

Redsn0w 0.9.4 says that IPSW unrecognized
PwnageTool 3.1.5 stuck and finding the firmware
Blackra1n latest version says ipod jailbreak complete, wait for reboot, problem is the ipod wont reboot.

im on latest itunes 10.4
OSX 10.6.8 Supplementary


Is there a way to do this at all??

I've used blackra1n on a couple of iPhone 2's. I know that you have to load 3.1.2 for it to work. Wont do it on 3.1.3. My problem was that after I clicked on the installed cydia icon it never loaded successfully.

To jailbreak 3.1.3 with redsn0w, you must point redsn0w to the 3.1.2 IPSW, not the 3.1.3 IPSW.
