iPod touch Jailbreak tweaks for an iPod Touch 4th gen.

So I bought myself an iPod Touch 4th Gen 32GB around Xmas purely for music and NO apps. But I've been recently thinking are there any useful tweaks I could use on my iPod Touch if I jailbroke? I'm currently running iOS 6.1.3 Stock.

Themes I guess could be one but what exciting tweaks could I install? Also, are there any tweaks I could install to improve performance as it is kind of sluggish at parts, especially my brother's jailbroken 6.1.2 iPod Touch.

Well, for better performance there is icleaner pro ( google the repo), tweaks: auxo, folder enhancer, miniplayer, siriport to install siri, 3d maps to enable 3d in maps app, ncsettings ( quick toggles in notification center like airplane mod, wifi etc. ), nitrous to enable java script in 3rd party apps ( it makes apps like facebook, twitter faster), axis (open up to 6 apps from camera grabber) altkeyboard, zephyr( multitasking gestures). Most of these tweaks are paid so support the devs and pay for them instead of pirating them.

Thanks for the reply. Most of them won't make sense though as I don't use apps on it. The only thing I use is the Music app. Miniplayer could make sense I guess and the toggles.

I am kinda not into themes but I do know some: suave, ayecon

if you just want the music, id recommend you do not jailbreak.


if anything it will slow down your device not enhance it. and there isnt a magical tool to boost performance that i know of - aside from nitrous but that wouldnt affect your music player.


i have a JB IPT 4G and it struggles man. i guess iOS 6 is mostly to blame but i do not think the JB helps one bit. i just jailbroke it because i use a variety of useful tweaks as well as themes.

Yes you can. That really helps the older devices.
