So I searched and couldn't find a direct answer...
I'm selling my phone (currently using it with AT&T) and am listing it as Unlocked/Jailbroken. I have a 3GS with 3.1.2 (7D11) and 5.11.07 modem firmware.
I want to erase my phone (as I am selling it) and then unlock it. From what I understand, with my firmware, I can either use blackra1n or spirit to jailbreak and then blacksn0w to unlock it. That I should save the SHSH file of my firmware and that for jailbreaking, spirit is technically better because it doesn't require a tethered jailbreak.
I'm curious if I would encounter any issues with this plan of action, or if someone recommends blackra1n over spirit for my case.
Thanks for the help, most of the articles i've read deal with using spirit OVER blackra1n, but nothing really deals with just starting from scratch.
