Jailbreak/unlock possible for development iPhone?

Hey,

Is it possible to jailbreak an iPhone, if I want also to use it to develop my own commercial software (for iPhone's iTunes store)? Or will there be some problems when connecting the iPhone to iTunes? I am interested on enabling the multi-tasking, when jailbreaking the iPhone. And what about if I want to unlock the iPhone?

jailbreaking is relatively simple use redsn0w to jailbreak then install ultrasn0w via cydia (repo: repo666.ultrasn0w.com)

apps will sync just fine
