Ive been reading about all these problems with only having one bar of signal after jailbreaking and that is something to do with the baseband.

If the iPhone is unlocked direct from Apple and fully updated officialy to 4.3.1 and I follow the instructions on iclarified then what happens to the baseband? Is everything ok if doing it this way and the problems only exist if trying to keep an older baseband?

Is it just a simple case of restoring in itunes to remove the jailbreak?

Thanks

I don't have an officially unlocked iPhone (the resale value on that is going to be extreme!) but from what I understand you're in the clear to JB. To get rid of a JB just restore in iTunes from a stock firmware.

It sounds like you've got the right idea. Can anyone confirm this?
