Jailbreak upgrade question...

I am currently running 4.2.6 jailbroken and would like to update to 5.0.1 since there is an untethered version now. Is there a way to do this without losing all my jailbreak apps? Or do I just have to install iOS 5 clean and jailbreak from scratch?

Never done this before since this is my first iPhone, so I'm just curious what my options are.

you have to upgrade to 5.0.1 purchase pkgbackup in Cydia I highly recommend it. It backups your cydia apps even the repos etc...
