jailbreak with 1.1.2

k so i got my touch 2 days ago 8gb

now i updated it with the newest version from itunes, and got my music blah blah blah

now how do i simply revert it bak to 1.1.1 and then jailbreak it?

i have tried going into itunes and clicked restore and it wants to dl 1.1.2 and restore it that way

you have to download the 1.1.1 firmware (download: here). Then option click (shift click on windows) on Restore. Navigate to the file you downloaded, and restore it.

okay and if i went along and did tis, what are the pros and cons of having it jailbroken.

like i have read that you can put apps on it using third party. such as mail etc etc

is this actually a true bonus or is it a waste of time and space on the itouch in the end?
