Jailbreakability ofmdifferent devices

I'm sorry but I didn't see a thread that clearly stated this, but I would like to know exactly which devices are jailbreakable and which aren't.


I'm switching to tmobiles even more plus plan from verizon next eel and i already have two iPhone 3G for 2 lines whose users aren't very advanced and just the iPhone at a good price. The other line, me, wants a 3GS but I'm very confused as to if it's jailbreakable/unlockable. So I basically made this thread to see if someone could clear it up for me.


Also some guy offered his iPhone 4 for my wifi only iPad...I passed because I couldn't find out decisively if you can jailbreak and unlock it. Any advice please help.

well the best way to end confusion is reading and learning. that is what I did. it's not as hard as people think. 3G is very easy the 3gs requires a few more tricks. just start reading here,
