Jailbreakin a 2nd Gen iTouch under Warranty

I have heard of Jailbreakin, but I have no idea what this really does, also is it a bad idea to do this on a new unit under warranty?

What advantage does Jailbreakin give you.

Well Jailbreaking the Ipod touch 2g is easy i have one iv done it, it works just fine.

What it does is it puts "Cydia" on your ipod so you can download apps for free you can download some things to change your backround and you can change just about anything on your ipod to make it look the way you want and the way you want it to act.

it fine to jailbreak it under warranty cause you can always restore it back to an unjailbroken ipod.

but be sure to plug your ipod in to your comp open Itunes and right click your Ipod icon and make a back up so if you do restore it, it goes back to what you had when you made the back up.
