So my saga began last night around 10:00 when I decided to give the whole 1.1.3 jailbreak thing a try, and it didn't work so well for me. I probably screwed something up along the way, since none of the seemingly easy methods have popped up (and I can't run iJailbreak since I'm on an Intel Mac running Tiger, which still doesn't seem to work with 0.4.1).

So I went back to 1.1.1, did jailbreakme.com, and everything was going nicely. Then I tried to jailbreak 1.1.2. I installed Oktoprep, upgraded, and my iPod kept restarting. So I tried again and the same thing happened. I looked around a bit, and this seems to be an iTunes 7.6 problem.

So I tried to install iTunes 7.5, and it wouldn't open because my music library "Has been created by a newer version of iTunes." So I created a new user account with admin privileges and installed iTunes 7.5, tried to run a restore to get me back to 1.1.1...and was shut down, once again. It could not restore because of an "Unknown Error (1604)."

So I've gone back and forth over and over, uninstalling iTunes, reinstalling a different version, restoring back to 1.1.1 using 7.6 (this is the only way I can successfully restore it to 1.1.1), and jumping through hoops in general to TRY to get up to 1.1.2 again, so I can do a dev team jailbreak to 1.1.3.

So two questions:
1) Can anyone tell me how I might get back up to 1.1.2 again, especially if you've been in this situation recently?
2) Can anyone point me in the direction of a good 1.1.1 to 1.1.3 jailbreak? (DRM compatibilty isn't an issue here, since I'm a CD kind of guy.)
