jailbreaking a 3.1.2 touch by jailbreakme.me

hey guys im just wondering if i can jailbreak my ipod touch by using jailbreakme.me. i have a a 2nd gen 8GB touch and i dont want to use blackra1n cuz its gonna be teathered, and i cant use spiritjb.com cuz i have itunes 10.0. thanks for the reply!

Yes, jailbreakme works for any firmware up to and including 4.0.1 (or 4.0 for iPod touch, as 4.0.1 only existed to patch the antenna problems on iPhones)... hence the fuss that apple has not released a patch for 1G Touch owners stuck on 3.1.3
