here is my problem:

I have an Ipod Touch 3G
Wi-Fi refuses to work
I want to jailbreak it.

basically, i can use blackra1n but of course i cant install cydia since i need an Internet connection to download it to my ipod touch.

So i was wondering if there was a way to completely JailBreak my ipod without the need of Wifi or Cyndia and still be able to install 3rd party apps.

or installing Cyndia wihout the need of a wireless connection. An offline type of installation.

in brief what im asking is:

is Cydia absolutely NEEDED to install 3rd party apps on your touch.

Well, third-party apps from Apple's official app store can be installed through your computer using iTunes, but any jailbreak stuff needs WiFi to install. What's wrong with the WiFi on your touch? If it is a hardware issue, perhaps you should get it replaced.
