Hi, I want to jailbreak my iPod touch. But I have a few questions first.

First,

With the new firmware coming out in a month or less, is it practicle to jailbreak my iPod now?

Will I need to install the jailbreak again when I get the new firmware?

Will I lose anything I installed from the jailbreak when I get the new firmware?

Will anything happen to my iPod if I get the new firmware with a jailbreaked iPod?

Thanks in advanced

Can't answer that for you.

You will need to do something new for jailbreaking new firmware. Maybe with the SDK you won't need to jailbreak at all.

Will I lose anything I installed from the jailbreak when I get the new firmware?
Yes, everything. But you could back up irreplaceable files like game saves.

Will anything happen to my iPod if I get the new firmware with a jailbreaked iPod?
That's the same as the prior question.

to be honest the last 2.0 jailbreak has kinda been canned for the latest versions of 2.0 have been re-coded so a new jailbreak will need to be found, sooo yeh choice is yours, jailbreak 1.1.4 wait for new jailbreak and loose all the apps and re-jailbreak or wait.
