Jailbreaking and music

I'm guessing its ok to talk about jail breaking in these threads. If it is then I was wondering how possible it is to use black rain to break my iphone and then sync my music. Is this possible? Or is this something I shouldn't do because 4.0 is coming out in a few months ?

the whole "big if" thing worries me. what is the source of this "big if"? also I'm assuming things such as multitasking apps are beyond the range of the 1st gen iphone or am I wrong?

The 2G iphone wont even get 4.0 if thats what you have.
And yes you can JB it any time.

Sorry for being unclear. What I meant about the last post was if I did jailbreak it, and I download an app which allows multitasking on the 2g iphone, will it still function at an appropriate level?
