Ok my ipod touch version is 2.2.1 and it I jailbricked it. I'm going to upgrade to 3.1.2 pretty soon and my question is will my ipod still work upgrading to 2.2.1 to 3.1.2? Will there be any problems i'll face?

Nope. Just upgrade it to 3.1.2 then use blackra1n to jailbreak it. you can turn on and off the device as you like. so i dont see a downfall in this. there should be free firmwares out there..sooo ya :D goodluck.

So your saying I have to unjailbrick it then upgrade to 3.1.2 and then jailbreak it again using blackra1n?

Upgrading to the latest version of official Apple firmware essentially "unjailbreaks" your device. There is no extra step. Upgrade, then blackra1n.

...and I hope you are jailBREAKing your iPod and not jailBRICKing it as you've been putting it. :D
