Apple TV Jailbreaking aTV?

So I'm about to jailbreak my apple tv, I am going to use sea0npass (unless someone else recommends other). Is it possible to stream movies from the tv itself without my computer on? Also does netflix become free once it is jailbroken, what else are the advantages of jail breaking?

Yes is possible to play movies from a hardrive without the computer on , just buy a router that has usb support , you can play files from that drive via xbmc


No netflix wont be free

Advantages : icefilms , ls a xbmc plug in that lets you stream movies & tv shows from megaupload for free, like walking dead


There is a plugin for hulu also a free cable plugin with the most common channels , abc,history channel stuff like that
