jailbreaking IOS 5 (tethered), will it need to be redone once an untethered jb comes?

If i use redsnow now to jailbreak my iPhone 4 running iOS 5. Which is a tethered jailbreak. Will i need to rejailbreak my phone again and lose all my settings etc once an untethered jailbreak comes out?

No way to tell, each Jailbreak is different and may require you to restore or not. Based on past releases, you will just re-run the tool and should make it untethered

More than likely rerun the jailbreak program. In the past apps have stayed intact.
