hello,

I wanna know if is it possible to jailbreak iPhone 4 on firmware 4.0.2? If not, than can i downgrade the firmware to any previous version because i have to take the phone overseas and use it with carriers other than the AT&T.

sorry no jailbreak for 4.0.2 and it is impossible to downgrade unless your shsh is stored on saurik's servers.. sorry! i'm stuck on 4.0.2 too because i just bought my i4 and it sucks

ohh.. are u sure firmware 4.1 will have a jailbreak?
Because i hv to take this mobile to my country.. so i'm thinking that if there is a doubt that the next firmware will have jailbreak, than i should sell it here in usa before my flight.

what do you guys advise me?

should i wait for 4.1 or should i sell it here before my flight?

There is most likely going to be a 4.1 jailbreak to cater for those buying a new iPhone that is shipping with that firmware. If not, I imagine there should definitely be one for 4.2 in November. But, noone really knows other than the dev team themselves.

Here is the most definitive info we have (but it's never a guarantee) Recent Tweets to/from MuscleNerd

@MuscleNerd I know tons already asked this but is the iOS4.1 gonna be a userland jailbreak as usual or will redsn0w be making a comeback ?

@TechXero it'll be userland JB if @comex can pull trifecta. Else, wait for new HW cycle (also remember: hole!=exploit)
