iPod touch Jailbreaking Ipod Touch 4G - iOS 4.2.1 WITH broken power button - possible?

Okay so I managed to downgrade my iOS 6 to 4.2.1 WITH a broken power button using redsn0w's DFU IPSW (creating DFU IPSW with your current version) so I can enter DFU without power button.

Now my question: can I do it with the same procedure but this time, jailbreaking it (untethered) with version 4.2.1?

So it will be most likely customizing another DFU IPSW (this time it's 4.2.1) restore it to iTunes, DFU mode then jailbreaking with either redsn0w or Greenpoison??? (which is better?)

I also remember that someone told me to check the "set host to cydia" since my version was iOS 4.

The set host to Cydia is only for restoring.

But yes you need to do same procedure and end up in DFU to jailbreak with greenpois0n or redsn0w

seems like I need to upgrade from 4.2.1 to 4.3

didn't know that my games aren't compatible with 4.2.1

So I need to check the host to cydia since I'm restoring / downgrading... is that correct?

also Which is better on jailbreaking, greenp0ison or redsn0w?

another thing is I need to be in PWNed DFU when jailbreaking right?

If you have blobs for 4.3.3 go for that, it can be jailbroken with Jailbreakme.com

online, no DFU.

For the 4.x firmware the host needs to point to Cydia.
