Jailbreaking my 3gs - have questions.

I'm planning on selling my iPhone 3GS running the latest firmware (3.1.3) and I'm figuring if I JB it would provide the best chance of getting top dollar for my 3Gs.

I've never JB the phone and I'm confused at which one to do and what steps.

I'm trying to read through the ginormous sticky but I'm not sure how much that pertains to my 3GS vs 3g and my version of the iPhone OS.

If anyone could recommend the best tool to JB and then resources to do the jailbreaking, I'd be appreciative.

You cannot JB a 3Gs on 3.1.3 at this time.

I just caught that - oh well.

No big deal. I ordered a Nexus One and once that comes, I'll have 14 days to evaluate that. If I'm displeased with it, or fails to live up to my expectations, I'll be returning.

I wanted to maximize the possible return on the sale but I have time and who knows maybe 3.1.3 will be able to be jail broken by the time I'm ready to sell it.
