Hi, I bought my iPod touch 5 days ago and I want to jailbreak it :D

I've looked at plenty of tutorials on the internet and they are all slightly different, so there is a few questions I would like to ask.

My iPod touch's version is: 1.1.4 and when I bought it, this was the exact version, so I never upgraded or downgraded it. So on the iTunes page, do I need to click Restore or Update or can I get straight into jailbreaking it. Also the iTunes I am using is: 7.7.0.43 so do I need to upgrade or downgrade my iTunes?

Another thing, should I backup my iPod Touch and do I have remove all of my songs, photos and videos on there?

Thanks alot :)

to jailbreak (using ziphone) you have to:
1. restore ipod
2. close out of itunes after it is restored, dont sync anything
3. open ziphone, click Jailbreak - ipod is also supported
4. let ziphone do its thing
5. when it is complete u can sync all of your stuff onto your ipod
:)
