Hi all,

I've been searching for the answer to this question to no avail..

Basically, I have used my Mac to jailbreak my iPhone 4 using Limera1n.

But just to make life easy, I would like to find out if I can use my Mac to jailbreak my nieces iPod 4G which is already synched to her PC?

is this possible? or will doing so wipe her iPod?

You can JB it. You are JBing it; NOT sync therefore why would it matter? You don't seem to be very clear what you are doing.

sorry if i haven't made myself clear.

I want to know if I can jailbreak an iPod on my Mac, however the iPod has already been synched with a windows machine...will this matter?

You made it clear in your first post.

Yes you can. As mentioned, you are jailbreaking the iPod not Syncing it! So it DOES NOT matter what PC/MAC you are using.

If you plan to restore the iPod after JBing then give it back to your nieces and let her do the Sync on her PC.

Clear?
