Hi all, I have a jailbroken and unlocked iphone 3gs (I didn't jailbreak it). I wanted to install Viber but I get the push notification error so I figure I need a new version of iOS. I am really not familiar with this whole process so can anyone explain to me how I can get an updated working version? I was told that it would be risky to go straight from 3.1.3 to 5.0 because then it will get bricked. I installed iTunes and I used redsn0w and the IPSW file to jailbreak it and I open my 3gs and I still see that the version is still at 3.1.3 so nothing worked for me.
Can anyone give me advice on how to upgrade this without any issues?
