Can someone please explain in simple layman language exactly what is jail breaking and what is it supposed to do or am I going to mess up my entire iphone and ipad

Will you mess your stuff up? Maybe? The more you read/google the better off you are. Theres even tons of YouTube videos that get you going in the right direction. Anything you do can always be fixed by a restore through iTunes
