Update the jailbreak? That doesn't even make any sense. Get an iPhone 3G and upgrade it to 4.2.1 (last firmware they're ever releasing for the iPhone 3G) and then jailbreak it with redsn0w and install the iPad baseband and then ultrasn0w (from Cydia) to unlock it.

P.S. Don't talk about Installous here.
