so, I'm trying to jailbreak my iphone with 4.3.3 using JB 3.0, but I keep getting this error:

There was a problem downloading the jailbreak files. Invalid Checksum.

Any idea what is causing this / how to fix it?? I've cleared my cache, cookies, and history, but it still won't work. Help! I just upgraded from 4.1 to 4.3.3 for this JB and now it won't work!

same error

I am also getting same error.

Jailbreakme.com 3.0
Iphone 4
4.3.3

Thanks.

Nm - just saw Lawlight's link. Hopefully it's just that the repositories are under heavy load atm...

just upgraded to 4.3.3 from a jailbroken 4.3.0 and am getting the same error.

I have used the jailbreak earlier today and it worked fine.

Since then I have restored my iPad and tried to use it again and I see the invalid checksum error. So I assume it is actually just the load since it worked previously on my device (at least I hope so :) ).

I got the 'checksum' error as well and I lost control of my Ipod 3rd gen. How did you guys actually fix this problem?

Thankyou for the file, this worked perfectly.

For those that are still trying to get it working, click the link for the file, or download it and put it in your dropbox and launch it from there. It will install Cydia and JB your iPad 2. Thankyou again.

I'm sure that is very helpful for ipad 2's -- too bad this thread is about the iphone 4!

Looks like this trick is working for all the firmwares -- was just able to jailbreak using this trick with my iphone 4! thanks!

I don't have the checksum error anymore with this trick but cydia still does not install. The icon displays for loading. When it's on "installing", the icon disappears and Cydia is not intalled... I checked the firmware version

sorry I googled the error and assumed I was in an iPad forum... but I did post the link to the iphone pdf also...

Hey all, just an update, I got it to work from the original jailbreakme.com site. I think I got lucky, but if it worked for me, and it's worked for other's in the past, the error must be due to traffic on the server. It should work if you're patient and persistent.

I can't get it to work on my iPhone 4. At least it's jb on an older jb and my iPad2 is jb (!!!). I can wait to re-jb my i4.

Trick not working....

I have an iPhone 4 and tried the trick to download the 4.3.1_8G4.pdf to my dropbox, opened it on my phone and I get a small blank page and it doesnt do anything from there. Doesn't work for me. Any suggestions?
