Hi! Im new here, and I have some questions.
-Should I use Jailbreakme.com or another JB program to JB my iPhone 4 @ 4.3?
-Should I update from 4.3 to 4.3.3?
-When I want to restore my iPhone so I can install iOS 5, I just make a backup in iTunes, and restore from it?

To use jailbreakme3.0, yes, you would have to update to 4.3.3

From 4.3-4.3.3 just fixes some minor bugs and that iphone tracking thing.

Before you update do some research on Redsn0w for 4.3. It's a little more involved.

If you were to update to iOS 5 when it comes out you'll lose the option to jailbreak (until a revised jailbreak is released).

So you recommend me to use RedSn0w? I've jailbroken my iPod Touch with Greenpois0n, so I guess its not that different.

When I mean I want to update to iOS 5, I mean that when a new JB is out, I have to restore my iPhone from a backup and update to iOS 5, before I JB, right?
Also, What iOS is recommended for JBing in RedSn0w?

im not following, if you want to update to a newer firmware when one is available you just hit update, no need to restore

just make sure there is a jailbreak option for the firmware you updating to if thats what you still want to do

Ah, thanks :)
But still, what's the "best" firmware for Jailbreaking with RedSn0w? 4.3.3?

Best firmware for jailbreaking? It doesn't make sense. 4.3.3 isn't better than 4.3 to jailbreak.

There's no such thing as best way/tools to jailbreak any idevice. Define best for us so we can give you a answer.

By best, I mean the best optimized one. I have now updated to iOS 4.3.3, so should I now use JailbreakMe or RedSn0w? :)

Both will not blow up your phone, if you try one and it didn't go well, then try the other one.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I haven't tried JBme yet, I'll probably try it today.

Redsn0w works fine with me and I've had very little problems with it. It is also relatively easy to use.

It wont make a difference.
They will all accomplish the same.
JBme.com is way simpler and you dont even have to plug it in a computer or download any other programs to your pc. Go to the site with your phone and you're done.
Kinda like installing an app.
I'd go with that from now on.

jailbreakme.com is by far the easiest method of jailbreaking. You simply go to the site on your iDevice, follow its instructions, and you're done. No cord necessary :)

I missed the initial jailbreakme.com release for 4.0/4.0.1 and whatnot since I was already jailbroken, but I just tried the new jailbreakme.com on an old 3Gs I had lying around and it went really quickly, I was impressed!
