Hey all. I'm noob and need some answers.
Long story short.
Have an iPad 12.9 running iOS 10.2. bought from pawn shop that still had original owners iCloud attached but was not set to stolen. I could get into the home screen and everything and use on wifi..but it asked for dudes password constantly of course.

I jailbroke with goblin - was able to dive into root > accounts and remove old guys icloud, apple Id ect even passcodes and put all my info on top.
Blocked servers briefly so my iCloud could attach then reinstated them and I've got to believe my stuff is running over the top of his? But not, at the same time?

Soooo my big question is I really want to update to the latest ios. I don't care about loosing jailbreak. I want to run fortnight and iOS 11. But what I want is to know if it's possible to update and everything and retain my info and avoid after whipping , updating ect and running into the risk of at start up it asking to restore using HIS iCloud account.

Given that info can anyone tell me if updating would I run into that? I expectex need to use iTunes to restore??? But can I get luckey enough for it to remember my info. Or maybe remember no one's lol?? And setup as new ipad??

Any answer is appreciated.

put ipad into recovery mode, connect to itunes, update & restore. whichever itunes account is listed in the icloud tab of settings app is the one that will need to be entered when restoring.

Sweet thanks for the reply. Will it really be that simple we think?
That's what I'm worried about...but I guess the jail break was super easy compared to Android.
