Jailbroken 1st Gen iPhone advice

Hi, I've got a friend who recently got a iPhone 3G and is interested in selling his 1st Generation Jailbroken iPhone to me for 200 pounds. Is this a good deal for the 1st G iPhone?

Also, once I get it and 2.0 is jailbroken will I be able to easily upgrade or will it take a lot of coding and backdoor to get it work? Thanks

I dont see why it wont work or why you'll have to bang your head to get it work!

But isnt GBP200 a 'bit' expensive for an obsolete phone?

I would expect my friends to cut me a little better deal than that. It's a used, old phone for goodness sake.

Ya I'll probably opt out. I'm soon moving to the states as well so I'll be able to get one much cheaper there. $400 I could get a real nice upgrade for my MacBook for that kinda money.
