Hi!
Please tell me if I'm right, it's so confusing, I tried to read through threads but came to no definite conclusion.

1) I have the iPhone 3G, unlocked by Apple, 2.1 Jailbroken.
2) I want to go to 2.2 Jailbroken

3) iTunes does not backup because of the MobileInstallation File

So, here the steps, please tell me if it's right so:
1) Restore the original MobileInstallation file. (The one renamed to .bak)
2) Backup
3) Restore and install 2.2 (If I just update instead of restoring, will I brick my iPhone)
4) QuickPwn or PwnageTool

Will my cracked apps still be there in the right position (thanks to the backup) or will I lose everything and reorder them again?

Thank you guys,
Fred
