Jailbroken 3.1.2 3GS suddenly not recognized in iTunes?

This is weird.

Today i synced my Blackrain-jailbroken 3.1.2 3GS with iTunes (which I haven't yet updated to the latest version by the way) as usual.

The sync went wrong apparently as it could not update Dropbox and Docs2Go saying "too many files were open" and popped out some other random errors with number codes.

Now when I connect the phone to iTunes it give me the option to either restore from backup or as new. I've spent countless hours perfecting this jailbreak setup so I guess neither one of those is a good idea for me.

Any advise what to do to be able to sync again without restoring?

Now to top it all off I restarted the phone a few times, updated all Rock/Cydia stuff to latest versions and now I notice it won't turn on. The apple logo shows for about 5 seconds and then the phone turns off.

This looks like a serious iBrick, doesn't it?
