jailbroken 3GS, 04.26.08 baseband, 3.0.1 firmware - what is my best upgrade option?

something is screwed up and my battery is not right, like 20% remaining on 1 hr usage and 6 hour standby.

what is my best option for update/jailbreak? i'm on AT&T and want to be able to unlock when i sell the phone later this summer. is snowbreeze and custom 3.1.3 ipsw the best way?

Don't upgrade to 3.1.3.

Upgrade to 3.1.2 custom.

any reason why 3.1.2 is better than a patched 3.1.3?

Don't use snowbreeze.
Go with a custom 3.1.3 from pwnagetool if you have an untethered jb.
