I have successfully (so I believe) jailbroken my 3GS and I have used Cydia to download MyWi again (so it seems) successfully.

Normally, when I am at home, I would like to have the 3gs connected to my home wireless network.

When trying to connect the 3GS to my home wireless network I have in MyWi set Wifi Hotspot=OFF and then under 3GS Settings I have set Wi-Fi=ON and Ask to Join networks=ON but all I see under Choose at network is other. Why can I not see my home network? My iPad2 can see and connect to it without problems

What am I doing wrong?

When away I would, occasionally, like to tether my wireless only iPad2 to the 3GS.

So what I am need to clarify in my mind are the following steps.

1. What setting do I need to make/change in the iPhone Settings and in MyWi when I wish to connect my 3GS to my home wireless network.

2. What setting do I need to make/change in the iPhone Settings and in MyWi when I wish to tether my iPad 2 to my 3GS.

Please take pity on me I am relatively new to iPhones and iPads and totally new to jailbreaking.

Is MyWi the best app for my purposes or could anyone suggest a better/easier to use app?
