I have a tethered jailbroken iPhone 3GS iOS 5.0.1 baseband 05.16.05 which was jailbroken with redsn0w 0.9.9b8. The GPS does not work. I downloaded GPS Status from the App Store and it shows the GPS is off by 1000 meters.

Is there a way to fix the GPS?

i have a bigger question, Why are you on a 5.0.1 tethered jailbreak? There is an untethered jailbreak for 5.0.1

After I did the jailbreak I didn't pay much attention to new developments. And I never had to do a reboot so being tethered was not a big deal.

With the GPS problem I figured it was time to look into things but this seems to be a unique problem to me and not to jailbreaking.

Haha yeah its definitely a weird problem I've never heard of before. Usually when people's GPS malfuctions/fails, it can't detect the location at all.
