jailbroken iphone 3gs recovery mode stuck and error code 2001

I have a jailbroken iphone 3gs and it is basically stuck in recovery mode but when i go to restore it on itunes i get the error code 2001 and sometimes 2006 I feel like i've tried everything to try and fix it but nothing works... I think it did get wet which is where this all stemmed from. Could it be an unfixable hardware issue? or is there anything i can do? If it was completely broken wouldn't it show nothing at all? PLEASE HELP!
