I have a jailbroken iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1.1. that is off contract. I have just contacted AT&T for the unlock request. My question is when I get the email from AT&T that it is unlocked on their side, do I have to restore my phone to get it unlocked through iTunes? Since I have upgraded to iPhone 5 already, the SIM in the phone has been deactivated and will that prohibit iTunes from unlocking it? Is there an easier way than to do a redsn0w jailbreak to put it back in iOS 5.1.1?

Thanks.
