iPod touch Jailbroken iPod Touch won't turn on!!!

I just recently jailbroke my iPod Touch using Greenpois0n RC6.1. I have a 2nd generation iPod Touch that's running the iOS 4.2.1 software. At first, it worked fine, but then when I tried to reboot it, it got stuck at the apple icon (which became the greenpois0n icon after a minute or so and stayed that way). I can't get into my iPod right now and iTunes won't recognize it. Please tell me if this problem can be solved or if I have to get a new iPod (I'll be more than happy to get a new iPod, but fixing is preferred.)
