Just jailbroke my 2nd gen touch last night using tytool. Very simple. I just have a few questions about what to do to my "new" touch. Cydia and Installer are both on there. Those are pretty much like the App Store correct? What's the deal with "sources" that I've read about. I don't have internet at home so I really can't check things out. Speaking of that, is there anyway to download programs to my computer and load them on my touch? I've read something about SSH, anybody familiar with that? I'll take any suggestions for apps too! :D

Sorry for the buttload of questions, just ready to take off with this thing!

in cydia you can see the address of the already installed repos and if you put that address into a web browser you can (if they let you) browse the files hosted and freely download them.

These can then be uploaded to iPod and installed using

dpkg -i <filename>.deb

then to respring

killall SpringBoard
