I recently jailbreaked and activated my 16gb first generation iPhone 1.1.4v and now the phone will not recognize my SIM card. I used ZiPhone (for the Mac) to jailbreak and activate the phone, but I didn't have the SIM card in at the time. Do you have to put the SIM card in before you jailbreak and activate it? I didn't want my contacts to get erased or anything, so I took it out.

Right now I have it where everything besides making a call works just fine.

In the upper left hand corner where the signal strength and the AT&T logo is suppose to be, there are five dotted lined lines, but AT&T logo. The first line is a little taller than the other lines. I'm sure it's something small that I didn't do.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
