Jailbroken phone not charging?

I've had my 32gig 3gs jailbroken pretty much since day 1 of release, had no issues until today. My battery meter seemed kinda weird as it was 80% then it shut off, and said it was dead, I charged it for a couple of hrs, and it was at 20%, then after a few more, it jumped back up to 100%. Then I left it for a few more hrs, and it was dead again, i've plugged it into the wall and have been charging it for a few hrs, but it just stays on the red battery charging screen.... any ideas?? Thanks!

You just have to turn your phone off and back on again and your problem will be solved.
