Jailbroken, Unlock, Unjailbreak Question

If i JB, then unlocked my ip4.

then upgraded to OS4.1, would i lose the unlock too? or only lose the JB apps/cydia etc?

basically is unlocking permanent.

Unlocking is generally not permanent.

You need to be jailbroken to keep the jailbreak unlock

Only unlock that is permanent is one from your carrier.

Upgrading an iPhone 4 to 4.1 will not only remove the jailbreak and unlock, but give you a new baseband for which there is no known exploit to build a new unlock tool.

Do not be in a rush to upgrade, especially if you need to unlock. There is a method using TinyUmbrella to upgrade an iPhone 4 to 4.1 without getting the new baseband.
