I have a jailbroken iPod 4th gen iOS 5.1.1 what will happen if I update to ios 6 from the settings?

OTA? And why not?

Sorry for not replying sooner; this never appeared in my quote notifications. Anyway, OTA stands for over the air, as in the updates performed from within the settings app. Apparently, jailbreaking disables OTA updates so the users' jailbreaks aren't undone without them knowing via software updates. On the off chance that you can get it to update, the jailbreak will be undone or dysfunctional.

K thanks pie ~edit~ I tried it with my second iPod and it just says update not available or something like that and it just stays at "searching for update" with the apple loading circle thing
