jalibreak ios 5.0.1 help!

Im trying to jailbreak ios 5.0.1 using redsnow 0.9.9b8 and it cant identify the ios. I think it may have to do with the ios i dont know i think.

Try using the iOS 5.0 ipsw, not the iOS 5.0.1.

run tether boot pointing at the 5.0 ipsw also, then click cydia and ur good

Make sure the computer running redsn0w has a working internet connection.

so 5.1 dont work at all?im downloading it now =(

iOS 5.1 does not work with redsn0w. Also, Cydia does not work on iOS 5.1.
