So i'm watching Goldeneye right now, and he's driving the Aston, but it's left hand drive. This makes sense in that UK cars have the wheel on the right, however in casino royale, when he gets the car, it's a left hand drive. Anyone else pick this up.

Bond's DB5 in Casino Royale, where acording to the story is where he acquires the vehicle, is a left hand drive. In Goldeneye, it is a right hand drive. I just thoguht it was odd.

Ah ok, your first post wasn't too clear.

It probably depends on the country he was in, no? In Monte Carlo, he's going to drive a left-hand version of his car. In Goldeneye, he probably drove it in a country where people drive on the right side of the car.

He probably has more than one AM. It is James Bond.

Remember though, he won the DBS off the guy who was the terrorist/dodgy person middleman, who flew around a lot. It's not inconceivable that that guy bought it in the US, or another left-hand drive country - he was quite the globetrotter too (Miami on short notice, remember?).

Really? If I remember correctly, Casino Royale was used to premier the brand Aston Martin's new DBS (along with the new Ford Mondeo). I don't believe it was a Vanquish like in Die Another Day. Ford wanted to use the movie to premier 2 new cars.

The vintage car he won off the guy was a DB5. The more modern model from "M" was an Aston Martin DBS. It looks very much like a V12 Vanquish or a DB9, but it's actually different.

Yeah, he won the 1964 DB5 in the poker game from Dimitrios when he was at Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

He had the new DBS in Montenegro which M had delivered there. This is the one he crashed while chasing after Le Chiffre when he kidnapped Vesper.

Exactly!

Why would you export a car to another country as expensive & exclusive as this if your a high roller or a spy? Just buy another for the other country ;)

OK, that makes sense. I was quite sure that the car that flipped was supposed to be the DBS, as that drive was the most advertised car scene.

The guy has hos in so many area codes, surely he has Aston Martins in different area codes as well.

It WAS the DBS that flipped. And abt area codes, the DB5 in Goldeneye had a revolving license plate... that changed to other country's license plates at the flick of a switch... and I loved the bulletproof shield on that thing... In my opinion I actually prefer that to the bulletproof body of the newer cars.:D

In Goldeneye he drives a DB5 at the beginning and BMW Z3 later on.

The car in Goldeneye can't be the same one as in Goldfinger. The Goldfinger Aston has all those gadgets and switches hidden under the centre armrest. In Goldeneye it's got a chilled bottle of booze for that woman he's trying to unrest.

 I never realised I was a Bond geek!!!

I think I love Goldeneye so much cos of the game- classic
