I am new to playing guitar and still a mac newbie. I own a macbook air and an airport express. I also have a ESP electric guitar and a M-audio Jam Lab to connect the guitar to my MBA via usb. The software that came with the JamLab is GT Player Express which for some reason always crashes after the intro screen. I have tried the disc via remote disc to run the software and have also tried a downloaded version, no luck. I have resorted to Garageband, probably for the better, as a means to change guitar sounds and record.

I dont have an amp but I do have 2 very nice floor speakers that I am trying to use for sound output. The speakers are connected to my MBA via the airport express. The sound is sent to it using software called airfoil since typically itunes is the only program that sends audio to the airport.

My problem is I am getting a 2 second delay from when I play a note on the guitar to when I hear the audio. I am assuming thats because the sound is technically being sent over wifi. Is this unsolvable? Am I limited by my technology? The alternative is playing with headphones on connected to the JamLab...
