I'm about to go to Japan for a business trip. Exciting!:D

A small question, I learn that I can't use my own cell phone in Japan, because different

network technique? Did anyone have the same problems? How do you solve it?

I find a Japan cell phone rental service from google, seems not bad. It's

cheap, easy, and the most important, the phone can be delivered to my home in Michigan before

leaving. I'd like everything arranged well before my travel,it's necessary.

Anyone who used such service? any suggestions?

Define "cheap"? I'm about to go off to Japan in 1 week.

I don't think I need a mobile phone, though. Do I need one wherever I go? I think I'll stick with email. Just email a person's mobile phone. They'll get the message.

I think Japan is actually one of the few countries that has a CDMA network (I assume your phone is CDMA and you're fearing compatibility issues). That said, if you plan on using your phone a lot while there, it still might be cheaper to buy a prepaid phone there.

Thank you for your help!
