Japanese iPhone 5S: will it work in USA?

Hi Everybody. I'm traveling to the USA in December of this year, and I'd like know if there is anyway to get my iPhone to work in the USA? It's on AU or KDDI 17 right now in Tokyo. I have 4G. Model # is ME335J/A.

If it is unlocked, yes, it will. Att supports GSM, but ask other carriers as well. Bring up another forum for options and include how long you will be here. When you ask around, mention that you have a GSM iphone.

It's cheaper thank paying international rates. I remember how expensive plans were in Japan.
