My roommate just let me use her Japanese version of Mac Office for my macbook. We thought that we would be able to change the language within the program but she can not figure it out. Its not that she doesn't know the language, she's fluent, but we can not find a setting within mac office that will let us change the language from japanese to english. help?

If it is the Japanese language version of Office you cannot change it to English. In the English language version of Microsoft Office there is an application called "Microsoft Language Register" in the Additional Tools folder under Microsoft Office in Applications that lets you add support for dealing with Japanese though. You can check and see if there is something similar for dealing with English in the Japanese version.

You are going to have to deal with the Japanese menus though I'm afraid if you want to use the Japanese version.
